Pickleball

Pickleball is undergoing a trial period at the club.
During this trial period the courts are laid out on tennis court 3 (or 1 if 3 is booked) using tapes for the lines and portable nets.
This equipment plus bats and balls are stored in the clubhouse and are free to use by all tennis members.
Basic Rules Tips for Beginners
Booking a Pickleball court for your own games is via the Court Booking system as normal..
In order to guage the demand for Pickleball as a permanent feature we invite players, tennis and squash, to register their interest in the game:
Winter Indoor Pickleball at AELTC Roehampton
Wind and rain make it impractical to play Pickleball outdoors on a regular basis. Luckily, we’ve found a great option to continue playing through the winter months at the AELTC-Roehampton (formerly The Bank of England Sports Club).
They have an indoor sports hall and lines for four pickleball courts have recently been added to multi-sport markings.
Initially, we have booked a court for 2 hours on Sunday afternoon. We also plan to book 1 hour on Wednesday and Friday mornings.
Depending on sign-up numbers, we can likely add a second court to the booking and/or extend to 2 hours on all days.
Let’s see how it goes.
The mix-in events will be on the website calendar and we will send out a weekly sign up email to interested members.. Both tennis and Squash members are eligible to play.
On sign up there will be a £4 fee per hour to cover the cost of court hire and you must sign up to attend.
