Play starts from 8:00am each morning

Tennis Court Booking & Guests

No tennis play is allowed before 8am - please respect our neighbours. 

Play bookings timeslots are 30-minutes long, and members may book a maximum of 8 timeslots per day in the booking system (a total of 4 hours general play per day.) Of these only 4 slots can be booked in peak time and a maximum of 4 consecutive slots at any one time. Remember that you may be unable to book if your bookings account is in deficit - just add credit online to re-enable your bookings rights.

Don't forget that courts MUST be pre-booked and that EVERY player who will be on court in a booking MUST be named on the booking system.  Please cancel your booking as soon as possible if you later find that you are unable to use it. This is particularly important for court 8 as this is currently our only tennis court with permanent court lighting generally available for evening play, and also for all courts in peak times when member demand is highest. Make sure you cancel all the 30-minute slots in your booking by ticking the box ‘All bookings in the series’.

Guests may be invited by members to play tennis, but their name MUST be entered in each booked playing slot at time of booking the court, even for family guests, and guest fees can only be paid online. The fee is £4 per guest per 30-minute booking slot, and a guest may be booked for a minimum of 1 hour play. An individual tennis guest may play at SLTSC a maximum of four sessions in any twelve month period, and may only play together with the member who has invited and pre-booked them on the system. 

Only two guests may play at a time with a given member. So for doubles with two guests they may only play together with two club members (not a single member playing with three guests, which is not allowed.) Each guest session may be for a maximum of two hours per day and be for a minimum of one hour.

Guest and court fees for tennis are paid by the member who makes the booking, so you must have sufficient credit on your own booking account to cover all guest fees at the time you make the booking.

Any member who brings a non-member to play at the club without entering their name in the booked slots and pre-paying the guest fee may be charged a penalty guest fee of £20 in addition to the regular session guest fee. Repeated infringement may result in suspension of the member’s playing privileges.
