Tennis courts opening event                    

The main events will be held on the weekend of Friday 7th, Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th June. On Friday June 7th we are holding an exciting evening with one of our old boys: Dan Bloxham, who is now the Head Coach at the All England Club. Amongst his many duties, Dan has the honour of accompanying the players on court for the Wimbledon Men’s Final and I’m sure he has lots of interesting stories to tell.The Tennis Committee is finalising the arrangements for the weekend which we hope will include a coaching masterclass and some exhibition tennis. Please put these dates in your diary now.
Our lovely new tennis courts give us the perfect opportunity to attract new members to the club. We are sending out flyers and arranging advertising in local publications to coincide with this. As an introductory offer to coincide with the opening of our courts, new tennis members will be offered a free introductory coaching session and we will also waive their joining fee to August 2019. Please encourage your friends and family to come and see the excellent new facilities and take advantage of our 'new courts’ membership offer.
Another upcoming event is the Wimbledon ballot evening on May 1st. Adam Parker will be organising this and although you don’t need to be present to be eligible for tickets, if you are successful and at the evening, you can choose which of the available tickets you would prefer. If you are not there, you may nominate a proxy, who is able to choose a preferred date for you.
