Alternative playing arrangements

It is also timely to remind tennis members of the arrangements agreed for play elsewhere.

Pensford Tennis Club in Kew https://www.pensfordtennisclub.org.uk/

Pensford has kindly offered playing opportunities to our members at the following sessions:

Monday, Wednesday and Friday 12-4pm and other times on request (contact Laura Boyle by email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. )

Thursday evening 7.30-9.30pm - Social play session under floodlights (contact Adam Robertson by text on 07595 326007)

If any Sheen tennis members wish to play at these times, they need to contact the Pensford members highlighted above. If there is availability at the session or time requested, they will then be given the access codes for the Club gates and attendance recorded.

The Pensford guest fee of £5 per player will be invoiced to Sheen and Sheen will cover the costs up to a maximum of 3 visits per member per month.

Dukes Meadows

 www.dukesmeadows.com/tennis/

Tennis members can pay and play on the outdoor courts at Dukes Meadow and will be reimbursed for up to 3 sessions per month.

The outdoor courts are artificial clay all-weather and are available both during the day and in the evenings under floodlights. If there is sufficient demand we may be able to block book sessions for Sheen players.

Please note that only the day rate will be reimbursed by the Club, not the floodlight play rate.

The evening availability is as below:

Monday 8-10pm Tuesday 7-9pm Friday 6-9pm

There is good availability for weekday daytime play.

Please let me know if you have any questions about the arrangements during the resurfacing project and thank you for your cooperation during this time.

It is also useful to remind tennis members that the Club rule for tennis play when members are waiting, is to play one tie break set and come off court.
